Sun Peaks Resort Canoe Tours

For a fun alternative to enjoying the water, Sun Peaks visitors can take a stand-up paddle boarding tour of Heffley Lake, take a two-hour introductory course of the sport or opt for a session that concentrates on technique and improving fitness. All sessions and tours include boards, paddles and leashes.

The NorthWest Voyageur Company offers guided canoe trips on McGillvray Lake, as well as rustic fur trader feasts. Canoe tours are in a replica Voyageur canoe, include tales of the NorthWest and Hudson Bay trading companies and participants will have the opportunity to view artifacts from the fur trade era,such as an original map made by David Thompson. The Fur Traders Feast includes traditional three-course lunches or four-course dinners on the shores of the lake.
